For newbies in Xi'an like I was, I had no idea how to get there as it is in the middle of a roundabout. Anyways, you gotta go through the subway tunnel to get to the Bell Tower entrance. This tower is suitable for a quick visit. Nice view at the centre from the tower, museum inside. Take some nice photos and go.

Nice little tower. Small fee to get in. The towers are a few hundred years old. You can practice Thai Chi late afternoon or early in the AM. Not far from other main attractions in downtown Beijing.

Worth a quick look! Was lovely to see, especially at night when it was lit up - but don't plan on spending long here. Come and see, stroll along to the drum tower and then head off somewhere else. There was a starbucks with a view right next to it which was a welcome sight as it was pouring with rain during my visit!

There isn't much here honestly, but if you can put your mindset into that of being in the Ming Dynasty and you enjoy history you will have a good time.
There is only Chinese for the text panels, so if you know Chinese there will be alot of more information for you to take in.
Its best to buy the Bell Tower and Drum Tower combination tickets. They are close to each other and both worth visiting.

Small site, easy to get to, easy to see. A combines ticket for the Bell Tower and the Drum Tower is worth it. Foreigners without Chinese ID cards should buy tickets online through CTrip. Can also do that onsight by scanning a QR Code. Passport information is required, though documents themselves were not checked.

At night the tower is beautifully lit!
Love the open walk area around it along with the little store font shops and great dumpling restaurants!
If your around go see it, but if not I do not recommend going completely out of your way. Hope that helps make a decision.

Built in 1384 (although reconstructed and moved to its current location about 700 years ago), it is China's most admired bell tower. Visit the interior museum to grasp the history and see the amazing artifacts from the region, some being over 2,000 years old.

We visited in July 2020 and were hoping to see the landmark but it is under restoration. From what I have been reading they ring the bells at sunrise and there is a bell there that was made in 711! This is in the centre of the ancient city walls and a large traffic circle. You wouldn't have to go far out of your way to see it.

Was disappointed to find out that this attraction is closed for renovation from June to August 2020. Best to check for the exact reopening date before you visit.

This tower was near the muslim quarter and also near the drum tower. Best time to visit at night when it was cooler, colourful and filled with people.
