Overview
More
Huaqing Palace, also known as the Huaqing Hot spring or Huaqing Pool, is located in Lintong District, Xi'an city. It takes only 10 minutes from terra cotta warriors to Huaqing Palace by tourist bus 306. The mystery and scarce hot spring, which can cure diseases, attracted many emperors to build palaces here, Huaqing Palace is one the greatest among them. The design of kinds of hot spring pools represented the simple and original world view of ancient people. Now travelers can not only visit the museum of imperial hot spring pool, the historical site of Xi'an Incident but also can climb Moutain Li and furthermore explore the Chinese earliest military observation tower. Suggestion: Before visiting Huaqing Palace, please email to heyiming@hqc.cn, we will send the tour package, which includes: the map, recommended routes and the book about the social organism. Access our official website and homepage on Facebook, you can find more information.

A beautiful and well kept Huaqing Palace fully enlists the romantic story between the Tang dynasty Emperor Xuanzong and Yang Guifei. The statue of Yang, hot spring and picturesque settings in the palace paints a good picture of this romance dated back in 720 AD....More

Nice buildings all around. But not really a lot of things to see. Yes, it is possible to see old natural bath. And old place of emperor. But that's it. Some areas still not opened to public because of renovation

As with all tourist sites in China, it's most interesting when you know or care about the history. Otherwise it's just a 'walk in the park'.

This place is famous because of a poem. But almost everything is rebuilt, except the hot spring ponds themselves.

In the imperial hot spring pool museum, they are all original relics, which are unearthed in the 1980s. Also in Huanyuan Garden, you can find many relics of Qing Dynasty, and the famous Remonstrance Pavilion built in 1946 on the hillside of Mountain Li.
