Apart the Great Wall outside Beijing I never had the chance to walk on the city walls to site seeing around, and this was a per-se a unique experience. It's a long walk on a very wide street where no car are admitted, it felt...More
This is one of the first things you will see once you get to the center of Xi'an. I wouldn't recommend doing a whole circuit on the wall, unless you have time to spare. I only did one quarter of the wall, nearest to the...More
Visited during Spring Festival. Lots of people and lots of lit up decorations from the New Year. You have to go underground to get to the entrance. We initially had a hard time figuring out how to get to it...looked hopelessly for a staircase. You...More

To walk around on the City wall might be tiring, you can definitely rent a bike!! Super convenience ~

I rode bike 20 years ago but in 2018 I actually did not see anyone doing the same thing. Perhaps there are too many visitors now. But I assume they won't have helmet even if they rent bike because there are no cars so it is not considered dangerous for bikers--my guess.

Once you leave you cannot renter. It’s very inexpensive to get in around 8 US dollars. I would recommend renting the bikes it’s a lot of fun and you can ride at your own pace. Stopping and viewing the city it’s beautiful.
