Apart the Great Wall outside Beijing I never had the chance to walk on the city walls to site seeing around, and this was a per-se a unique experience. It's a long walk on a very wide street where no car are admitted, it felt...More

This is one of the first things you will see once you get to the center of Xi'an. I wouldn't recommend doing a whole circuit on the wall, unless you have time to spare. I only did one quarter of the wall, nearest to the...More

Visited during Spring Festival. Lots of people and lots of lit up decorations from the New Year. You have to go underground to get to the entrance. We initially had a hard time figuring out how to get to it...looked hopelessly for a staircase. You...More

A wall surrounding the old part of Xian. Nice walk along the top. Good views of the city but not much else to see.

Xi’an City wall is an awesome experience. It’s a good amount wider than the Great Wall (that you’d visit when in Beijing) and has been very well preserved over the past 600 years. The wall surrounds both the Bell Tower and Drum Tower. A tour...More

Approaching Xi'an, it is impossible to not notice The Wall and its gates as you approach certain parts of the city. While The Wall can be seen from the ground in many areas, the best way to see and appreciate it is from above. The...More

We spent 1 hour and half walking on this wall. The view from the top is very nice and because of the Chinese New Year the South Gate part was decorated in an amazing way. The prices of souvenirs and food on the wall are...More

My wife and I walked the entire wall. There are bikes that can be hired in the wall or people were being driven around in golf carts as a part of a tour. Was a nice long walk and a great way to see the...More

Once you leave you cannot renter. It’s very inexpensive to get in around 8 US dollars. I would recommend renting the bikes it’s a lot of fun and you can ride at your own pace. Stopping and viewing the city it’s beautiful.

Open all the time! You now have to pay to go there. Not expensive like 10 US dollars. You can even rent bike to ride around. It is about 15 km around. Very nice!
