Rode a bike around the city wall at sunset. Very nice. Inexpensive (45 Yuan). Great overview of city. 14 km total distance. Recommended.

Great way to spend and hour and a half. The cycling is extremely gently and easy. My wife has not cycled much at all and was nervous of steering round people etc. But there was no problem at all. Really nice way to get away...More

Sooo good and worth it. We rented bikes (3 bikes for 3 hours was 135cny together, plus 100cny deposit). Awesome way to see the city. I couldn’t imagine walking. We got a sunburn because there’s no shade so consider bringing sunscreen if you’re sensitive to...More

It might be just the time of year, but it was a great feeling up on that wall - breezy, big view, cool sites all around you. I would've liked to do the whole loop. We only saw the East Gate and a little walk...More

On our tour I really enjoyed this little stop. There’s about 60-70 steps to get to the top but once you are up on the wall it’s an incredible view. There are souvenir shops and coffee stands up top as well. The wall is neat...More

We visited the wall on a cool cloudy day, beautiful and it is unbelievable how the city is surrounded by the wall. You have a great view of the city when on the wall, and the wall is decorated and completely lit and night, just...More

You can hire a bike or just walk along the wall. Lovely when all lite up in the evening. Built in the 14th century to the 17th during the Ming Dynasty.

If you come to Xian, you must visit the wall. The gates alone are worth a look but the sheer size of the wall means you need to spend a while wandering along it. You can rent bicycles to cycle around or just walk. With...More

Yes, you can rent helmets when you rent your bike. You need a cash deposit to rent the helmets and bikes. I didn’t rent a helmet and it was ok. The wall can get busy with all the bikes but it is a fairly smooth ride.

Once you leave you cannot renter. It’s very inexpensive to get in around 8 US dollars. I would recommend renting the bikes it’s a lot of fun and you can ride at your own pace. Stopping and viewing the city it’s beautiful.

Open all the time! You now have to pay to go there. Not expensive like 10 US dollars. You can even rent bike to ride around. It is about 15 km around. Very nice!
