Constructed in late 2010, this shopping district was meant to attract more tourist by being "authentically chinese" by that, lots of Mao Zedong memorabilia, passible street food and beads, beads, beads! Not far from the bird and flower market, this small street is good for a leisurely stroll after having eaten in one of the many, out of the way... More

Nanping Business Street was supposed to be a shopping destination, but the REAL action is on Zheng Yi street (which intersects Nanping). Zheng Yi is the Fifth Avenue or Michigan Avenue of Kunming, and the place to go for shopping.

Nothing special, there's street food, Mcdonald, KFC, Starbucks. A whole street for shopping, major brands like Uniqlo etc. Nothing much to buy but just to have a feel when you are near the area. Very touristy.

The walking street is unusually quiet by China standard. Apart from restaurants, most of the shops are closed when we reached there at 8pm.
