While they can get a little crowded, a walk along the causeways is almost a must when in Hangzhou. So many activities focus on the lake but a walk costs nothing and is a great way to see some nice views.

Sudi, or Su Causeway is a straight road leading to Leifeng Pagoda. It takes an hour for slow walking, during which you can see yourself inside the scenery.

A georgeous place to go for a walk and very picturesque - there is a new photo opportunity all the time. There were very crowded with tourists, but still it was beautiful and well worth a visit.

This is a good-looking causeway to take a long walk on. The lake is visible on both sides and the causeway gives a superb view of the lake, especially at dusk.

We loved strolling along part of Su Causeway, which was also where we hopped on one of the electric boats and headed to Three Pools Mirroring the Moon.
