We enjoyed our visit and we did bargain for everything . It was raining when we went but everything is under cover so it is the place.to,go where you can spend hours looking on a rainy day . Of course you must have an interest in silk to go there other wise there is not much else around

Practice your price negotiating and have fun! There's three really nice blocks of stores selling all sorts silk crafted items. They vary in quality, but high quality bargains can be found; especially if out of season. Fun to walk around and fun to buy!

loved the silk street - hundreds of little shops selling silk items of every kind. Recommend that you walk through before buying to get an idea of prices/whats for sale. Nice atmosphere. Haggling is the way to go! The shops that sold silk fabric by the metre were lovely, but not very much what I would call traditional chinese fabrics... More
