I had a 3 hours long trip to Xi xi wetland park. Had a great time. Full of peace and tranquility. Lovely weather and so calm. Plus a few food stalls with local dishes. In my view a must for anybody visiting Hangzhou.

We live in China, and we really appreciated such a nicely kept, beautiful area to freely walk around. As usual, we recommend getting to a place like this in the morning, as they tend to get packed after lunchtime. There is a nice long walk,...More

I visited here recently with colleagues while in Hangzhou. The park features two types of boats to take you around within the rivers that make up the wetlands (extra charge beyond the admission) and also has nice walking trails. The area is pretty. There are...More

This is not what a wetland park should look like. It has nothing to do with nature or protecting the environment of that sort. All I saw was commercialised shops lined up on a street. No boards or signs introducing the animal or plants in...More

Originally sited for a high-rise development, the Chinese Government opened this nature reserve in 2005. It is a lovely escape from the hustle and bustle; the boat ride on the canal, the flora, trees all make for a very easy day. There is an excellent...More

Nice natural environment, less crowded than other scenery spots in Hangzhou, better air than city center, good for a relaxing walk. But apart from that, nothing really stands out. The classic scenery spots around the west lake, Su Ti, etc. are still the best. You...More

Going in costs 80 yuan, boat costs 100 per hour. It is pretty, but not worth the money. Hard to get there, buses are not costumed for tourists and you have to take 2 buses back to nanshan roud

Boat rides thru extensive grounds normal, as are walking paths. We got a very wet day so it was gray, but glad we went.

Of course that the bikes are welcome there! I saw a lot of tourists and loco peoples using them. You can also rent those from the public system. Enjoy your ride!

The wetlands are a bit far from West Lake and the center of the city. But getting a taxi there, spending the day, and then a taxi back to wherever your hotelshouldn't be too bad. Always depends on the traffic but that's how... More
