September is dahlia season-- who knew? The garden had a whole collection of them in bloom, and a nice little train starting at 10 am to see it all without walking too much. The park is located near to a train station which is great. However, I came here by riding bicycle from Asabu area (terminal station of Namboku line) which took nearly an hour. We were blessed with an exceptionally cool crisp summer day with blue skies and a SONshiny day (24 degrees Celsius) . Cool breeze in the mid of summer made us decide to visit this lovely park. A short stroll from the car park led us to the lovely rose garden, then crossed the lily train track to the vast lavender field. The lily was started to bloom in different colors.
