Good for a view of the town and a bit of history. It was snowing a bit so we thought we'd have a look. Worth it.

Good scenery with reasonable price of food and drink

We didn't expect much because it was raining and the building is not that tall.

But prove me wrong, we enjoyed our time very much.

There are plenty of place to sit and enjoy the scenery.

The food and drink are sold in reasonable price and taste good too!

I especially love the tea that taste more flavorful than whatever tea you get in a restaurant in Japan.

Visit on the Daytime and see the sight of sapporo city from above!

The 1st location we visited since its just walking distance from our hotel (resol trinity hotel) and we really love the sight of sapporo city, covered by snow on february 2020. We heard the sight are also amazing at night but since were planned to visit mt, moiwa so we would go for night scenery at moiwa instead.

Thoroughly recommended for night time viewing!

After a whole day spent travelling to Sapporo then checking-in to a hotel and finding a restaurant for dinner, it was after 9:00pm before I headed up to the Observatory on the 38th floor of the JR Tower. As I was leaving the following afternoon to head for Kushiro, this was actually my only opportunity to take in the night time Sapporo cityscape and added to that, T38 is open until 11:00pm.
Adult entrance to T38 is the same as for the TV Tower (Yen 720) but full marks to T38 in offering a reduced admission to Seniors (Yen 640). The 38th Floor has a very attractive Cafe/Bar with comfortable seating, so at night it is a pleasant place to enjoy a drink and gaze out at the twinkly lights below from comfortable armchairs. Gentlemen may find the glass walls to the 38th Floor bathroom a little off-putting, however!

Got a complimentary ticket after purchasing JR hokkaido pass. Conveniently located around Sapporo main JR station. Views did not disappoint. There is a nice cosy cafe at the tower for light snacks and coffee while you enjoy the scenery.

It's centrally located and easy to access. Great views of the city and especially the well known Odori park. There is a nice exhibition about the history of the city as well.

Nice view of Sapporo

Go before and after sunset. They have a small cafe there so you can have some snacks and relax after shopping. Not crowded at all and can sit by the window to watch the sunset.
