This onsen is really nice and friendly. It has English subtitles everywhere. The springs are clean and there is great variety of pools. You just pay entry money and that allows you to stay as long you want. Their kitchen is also delicious. My favorite spa around Kobe.

I try to visit as much as Onsen when I go to Japan and this was one of the biggest. It has several outdoor and indoor pools. The day before I have been to the place, hearing that I was planning to Taiko no Yu the owner of a ramen restaurant in Arima gave me a voucher for Taiko no... More

Bit more expensive than most places but this place really gives you a taste of saunas, gold spas, silver spas, inside and outside spas and everything in between. Good food hall. Great fun.

Taiko no Yu is probably the most popular amongst visitors to Arima Onsen, it is certainly the largest in the town, with clean facilities and updated. The entry fee is ¥2,400 per person, you pay at the counter and they will issue you with your choice of yukata. You also get your locker key which is in the form of... More

I'm staying in Osaka so I caught the bus from Umeda - 1 hour. My return bus ticket included entry (optional) to Taiko no Yu Onsen. It cost ¥3,770 which was a good price. If you visit the Information Centre in Arima Onsen town, you can get a discount voucher book and can use it here if you choose. This... More

Made a day trip to Arima Onsen town and this onsen came recommended by the tourism office in Arima (which they were extremely helpful in providing us the information we needed). This onsen was big and spacious, had both indoors and outdoors baths and different special pools to dip in. It was an extremely relaxing experience (much needed relaxation after... More

Took the chance to go out to Kobe from Osaka to the above. It was a wonderful outing experience. Arima is a small town located in Kobe and the air is fresh. The experience at Taiko was wonderful. Because it is a paid experience, you do not get the experience of the free public baths. Things were clean, organized and... More

From Pretty much anywhere in Kansai this is an easy and well worthwhile day trip. A huge selection of baths and different types of hot stone saunas. Combining the Onsen with a hike up Mt. Rokko or Rokko Gaden is a must (However, the latter requires finishing at Okamoto Station to catch a bus or train to Arima - unless... More

Came here because of a Arima Onsen Taiko No Yu package with kansai360°. Simply love their beautiful open air bath. A very relaxing and clean place. Mostly frequented by the locals . They have a huge sofa areas for patrons to relax after soaking in the hot baths. They do offer different massages and for food, you can dine in... More

Taiko no Yu is a leisure facility, which is composed of hotel, restaurants and bath. Even if you do not stay the hotel, you can just use their thermal bath. The entrance is a little bit expensive, but it is really worth its price. You can enjoy two different Onsen waters in one place, and in addition there is free... More
