We were a party of 4 and we really enjoyed the ride even though the weather was not great because of the views and the nice quiet ride.

If you're visiting Kobe, then you can't miss the Shin-Kobe Ropeway. To reach the top, you can either get a cable car ride. If so, there'll be a first stop halfway thru the mountain and then the final stop which is the Herb Gardens. You can always opt for the first-stop ride, get off the cable car and walk your... More

Easily accessible, the ropeway is a 5-minute walk from the Shin-Kobe Railway station. At the top of the hill you enter your enclosed glass car and head up to the top station all the while getting a panoramic view of the Kobe Harbor. When reaching the top station a replica of a European Village greets you. Here you can walk... More

This was an interesting ride with good views of the Kobe harbor. We were here in late March but most of the flowers were not in bloom yet. There was still stuff to see and it was a pleasant visit.

The Shin-Kobe Ropeway has easy access as it is located near the Shin-Kobe station, one of the main train hubs in Kobe. From the ropeway, you have scenic views of Kobe, the harbor, and waterfalls. At the top is a charming little Swiss-style village with some shops and eateries. It was so pleasant the day my wife and I were... More

This was a lovely ride up the mountain, but it cost $14 for a round trip. If it were warmer weather, I would've just hiked it. The staff is very nice and the views were beautiful.

The ropeway is best to be explored by taking the tram up to have a good view of the Kobe Harbour. The view at the top is also nice. To see the beautiful flower gardens on the ground, walk down is a good option. The foot path is well designed and safe. There are several locations worth stop by to... More

The ropeway was a lot of fun. It was easy to find from Shin-Kobe station (good signage). The views were great -- going up the ropeway and from the top. The herb garden at the top was nice. We went on a cold day and it was nice to find blankets in the ropeway.

Views of autumn foliage was visible so that was a nice treat. not a necessity but if you want to visit the herb garden, this will save you a lot of walking and you get a nice view over kobe/foliage in return.
