Was in the area and stopped at the Toyokuni Shrine after some other activities. Gorgeous architecture. Fascinating landmark.

In trying to understand the religious interplay between Buddhism and Shintoism in Jaan, the Toyokuni Shinto Shrine in one of Kyoto's premiere Shinto Shrines. It goes back almost a thousand years. The feature is the giant bell in the courtyard.
