I is only one pool its small and I found it hot. After the first soak I had a cold shower then went back for another go and had to cool down again. The time I went was not crowded and the soak felt good. It's in the basement of the kyoto tower.

We came to this onsen to clean up before boarding an overnight bus. It was very conveniently located - near kyoto station. It's in the basement of Kyoto Tower, which you can access via the elevator. You buy an entry ticket from the machine outside, including add ons for bath towels etc. You can go to their website to print... More

This place is located across the street from Kyoto Station so you can relax after or before traveling. You pay at the entrance using a vending machine. I went early in the morning and there was a line. It took some extra seconds to figure out where to click. As I said, I visited early in the morning so you... More

There is better out there for sure but it is still a genuine Onsen/ public bath experience (I am unsure if there are specific criteria for each) and seems mainly frequented by locals. There are no electric or jet stream baths here as in other similar establishments we have tried so it is average to be fair.

Nice to relax after a long day of sightseeing. Conveniently located next to Kyoto Station, it was just perfect to have a quick and refreshing brake before carrying on with my travel.

After a long day at the flea market in Kyoto this was a welcome respite! It was easy to find. There is a machine right outside the entry where you purchase your tickets. It was 750 yen per person, plus 100 yen extra for a large towel. There was soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion and even body oil. What a great... More

Located in basement 3F of Kyoto Tower. This onsen or hot spring is very convenient. Opens from 7 am to 10 pm. There is a discount for hotel guest if you happen to stay at the Kyoto Tower Hotel. I purchased my ticket from the machine right outside the onsen. 750 yen for weekday and 890 yen for weekends/ holiday.... More

This was my first visit to a Japanese baths so I was a bit nervous that I would cause offence. I went in and remove my shoes and socks and was given a little towel and then went into the single sex changing rooms . Then I undressed and entered the baths and and a very nice and thorough shower.... More

This sento cost 750 yen per entry which included small towels and soaps. These will helps as I don't need to prepare my towel and soap. Is a good experience to try Japanese way of public bath. The only thing is you have to go into the hot pool slowly. It's very hot, hotter than Arima Onsen I went. Just... More

If you need a shower during your trip, you find a public bath at a very convenient location. Kyoto Tower is just in front of the Kyoto JR station. Price is 750 yen (towel included, bath towel needs an extra 100 yen) which seems a bit high, but you can refresch yourself here. It opens 07:00 to 20:30 dairy. Buy... More
