What a great destination. We lucked out as it was both snowing like crazy in between patches of sunshine. Lovely place!

The temple is set up on a hill overlooking the city. Just walking around the area is gorgeous as well as the tourist spops nearby. This is a definite must see in Kyoto.

An iconic temple that you must see when in Kyoto. Like other temples the walk up to the temple is littered with small shops selling little knick knacks and snacks. The temple loop should take you anywhere between 45min to an hour and a quarter. On the way down from Kiyomizu-dera Temple, you reach a cross roads where you can... More

I have been there many time but the 1st time during the night. The highlight of the temple by appropriate lighting was well done. From the temple, we could see the night view of Kyoto city, with Kyoto Tower as an obvious landmark.

Kiyozumi-Dera is definitely a very busy temple. On the court of the temple, it will be seas of people. Not only will you find overseas tourists, you will also find local tourists as well, especially high school students. From the information I got ( hopefully is a reliable one), Kiyozumi-Dera is where most people would come and pray for their... More

This is one of the most popular and crowdy place in Kyoto. The temple was beautiful but personally, I feel that other temples are more worthy of going. Still a great place to visit nevertheless.

Beautiful temple! Definitely a must while in Kyoto. Expect lots of walking and large crowds but well worth it.

It's one of the best place in Kyoto. The temple is magnificent sight also a small shopping street lined with traditional wooden shops is worth to visit. You can try Yukata as well. The are many stores that can rent the clothes around this area.
