We really enjoyed our visit to the Osaka Castle and park but couldn't give it a four. There seems to be a bit of work being done inside the grounds so that might improve the experience. It was also very crowded and difficult to take...More

We walked through and around Osaka Castle Park in the early evening in mid-June on a high-overcast day, and really enjoyed the views of the castle and the well tended grounds. Got bitten by some fierce mosquitoes though, which kinda sucked.

I loved this castle, the moats, the structure and history behind it. Gets very busy would recommend being there when it opens. Lots of stairs but worth it for the view from the top of the castle, 360 degree view. There is even a boat...More

This park is very large, well-maintained, well set out, has plenty of facilities for food/drinks /rest stops, has a great atmosphere and of course contains Osaka Castle. Walking through it is relatively easy as there are only a few inclines but there were also quite...More

This was one of my favourite sites, a beautiful building in a lovely shade of green. We viewed the castle from the outside, admired, and spent some time wandering the grounds. There was a great spot with a small pond where we took some fabulous...More

There is a lot of walking involved in visiting this park. There is a long walk from the main gate to the actual castle. There is an option to take an elevator to the top floor and then walk down to see the exhibits in...More

You can use trains (rail or subway), but the closest one is by city bus. The bus stop is more closer to the main entrance area then train station. You can stop at Banbacho bus stop.

Is the park open to the public in the evening? I mean the area directly around the castle? I want to take some evening photos. Thanks.
