As far as temples in Japan goes, this one's not really worth a visit. And there weren't many people around, probably as it was also undergoing renovation in some parts.

A nice spacey temple ground with interesting statues and buildings. There is a fee for the 5-story pagoda area. A short walk from Tennoji Station and the Tennoji Park.

There is a fee if you want to enter the temple inner surroundings. But if you remain outside, you don't have to pay.
