We had a very nice lady, fluent in English, who helped us find our way. She helped us find the right bus, and wrote down the destination in romaji so we could easily read it. She gave us maps, and was very calm and professional. We were helped as soon as we came in, there was no waiting line.

I was there at a time of great busyness. They gave me an english map and not much else. Hard to tell if they spoke English as they didn't spend any time talking. There was no rack of English brochures. So I found it to be the most unhelpful information Centre in the half of Japan I have visited.

Nice and helpful staff at the Nagasaki City Tourist Info Center. Very informtive center with maps and booklets about the city. You will see it when you exit from the JR Nagasaki Station.

This is a great stop before you explore the city! They have maps in English, restaurant guides, and free wifi! It's a great stop before you head out to explore the city!

Exit the platform and on your right there is a Seattle's Best coffee. In a corner of the shop is the TIC. We had read somewhere that it was no longer in the JR station, but that information was incorrect. The staff had very little English and made no effort to produce any English literature - an American tourist, who... More

Not entirely sure why this is classed as an attraction - but for fellow travellers be aware that this is a very limited English experience. A lot of smiling, a lot of pointing and an impressive use of the yellow highlighter pen over the map. Our hotel gave us a much better comprehensive service

The information center was attached to a dining outlet as part of JR station. Staff spoke good English but they did not make recommendations, just asking me to choose tour brochure from the rack.

Like many other tourist information centers in Japan, Nagasaki Tourist Center is very helpful and friendly. The staffs spoke moderate English and I met a staff who spoke Korean as well. The tourist center is inside the JR Nagasaki train station and is open till late afternoon. Tourists not only get the map of the city but also purchase day... More
