A lovely place to relax and enjoy nature. Hiking trails, pool in season, cabins for rent. In the fall, beautiful colors. Old Fashioned Day in November was a great day.

Loved the hiking around Morrow Mountain State Park, very well kept trails, and lots of them. There is hiking for all linds, some are easy, moderate and then you have the strenuous trails. Also some good views at the top of the mountain. Lots of...More

Nice place to rest and rejuvenate while enjoying the beauty of nature. Ample picnic tables for the amount of guests visiting and restroom facilities available and in working order. The area was also very clean and inviting.

Visited in May of 2017 with friends who came from Southport, NC to visit. Wow it was beautiful, clean, and very historically informative. Drove to the top of the mountain to see the views. Careful on the narrow road that leads to the top. Scary...More

Lots of accessible hiking trails ranging from easy to strenuous. The park also has a swimming pool, lake, fishing areas, bridle trails, and easy-to-navigate roads for drivers. The biggest plus? VERY clean bathrooms. One of the best NC state parks I've visited.

It always depends on the weather pattern for the week. Usually it is still warm in the evenings 60-65 would be typical.

It depends on which site you choose. There are sites near the bathroom if you are able to get that site.
