This was my 2nd visit. Last time was 2 years ago.
It’s a hidden gem and should stay that way.
Very knowledgeable bar staff.
Unusual cocktails that you wouldn’t find in a normal bar. You can sit inside or out.

This was a small place, located in a street just off the main road. We arrived early and there wasn't any trouble getting seats, but I could imagine it might be a challenge later in the evening. Friendly service and decent cocktails. Not much more to ask for. Reasonably priced also.

I've heard so much about this place, hence was excited to finally be going there. It's quietly tucked and hidden away from the usual streets filled with restaurants and bar. Blink and you might miss it.
Despite going on a weekday, the place was packed. I get that this bar does not have a large floor space, but the number of seating is REALLY limited. Chairs weren't very comfortable too. I don't know what concept they are going after, but it just seems as though they picked their furniture randomly from everywhere. Still, I liked the ambience there.
The drinks were okay, different from usual as cocktails come with a local twist. But nothing that really made my tastebuds dance. But that's just me. Try it for yourselves. I wasn't too happy about my order of light bites though. Came real slow after 2 times of reminding the waiters.
Would I come back here again? Maybe. But would I purposely come to this pub again? Maybe not.

This is an outstanding cocktail bar (although I think it could be a little bigger). The staff clearly puts a lot of thought and effort into their plentiful and creative cocktail offerings. These drinks are perfectly balanced. I can honestly say that for the few I tasted that I didn't like, I _only_ didn't like them because that particular taste didn't appeal to me -- I could still recognized the craft that went into the drink and felt it was perfectly blended (as opposed to _many_ cocktail bars where drinks I don't like are often due to them being unbalanced in a way that doesn't even allow me to appreciate the taste and goal of the bartender). Among the cocktails I tried here, two standouts were the Double Barrel and, surprisingly, the Peanut Butter & Jelly -- the latter being one of the most creative cocktails I've ever had: a brilliant bit of artistry that resulted in a drink smelling and tasting basically exactly like a peanut butter & jelly sandwich, without being overly sweet and (most surprisingly) without it seeming too strange to be drinking a peanut butter & jelly sandwich.

The bar is also very pretty -- an industrial modern space, made warm with textured stone building materials and a design that feels like the space has been squeezed in an alleyway between buildings...but squeezed between buildings in a classy way (if that makes any sense at all). The staff members are very warm, friendly, helpful, patient, and efficient; they are also spot on with their knowledge of their drinks, clearly describing flavor profiles in case you want to know more in advance to help you choose.

(One note: Without giving away too much in the fun of discovering its subtle entrance, if you're walking from the Bangsar LRT, take a Right out of the building / LRT entrance, cross the first street, continue past Southern Rock Seafood and Fierce Curry House, and Coley will come up on your right before you reach the bend in the road.)

I thought the hipster thing had been done to death. But I was wrong. Walk through the transitional space and listen to the crunch of loose wash pebbles underfoot. It evokes, to me, something from “The Remains of the Day;” it’s old world. Walk a few steps and enter through a large round timber vestibule; perhaps an ode to Chinese homes of another era and one is met with a long concrete bar of the left and seating along the right hand side of the shop house.

It’s a hive of activity behind the bar as mixologists are busy at work. I had the “old fashion” which is a whiskey based cocktail of citrus overtones. It was well balanced, alcoholic whiskey powering ahead of anything else. That I like! My friend had the gin and coconut water cocktail. It looked like a glass of water but she seemed to enjoy it.

Meanwhile techno music was pumping and later quieter ballads floated through in competition with the higher decibels of chatter as the crowds grew. The sound waves bounced off the hard cement walls but was dampened luckily, by the curved ceiling. That is to say the music quality wasn’t harsh as it happens in many other places.

Coley’s is no place for a first date as it’s hard to have a quiet conversation. Or maybe for that reason it might in fact be good for a first date (whatever !). But it’s great for groups and with someone you know well. It’s good for people watching too.

It’s a shirts and t short kinda place. Unpretentious and says there’s no need to be “cool.” Come secure in knowing who you are and not what you want to “project.” That’s the perfect kinda place.

I like the place, vibe and the drinks and will be back for more. Cheers.

Saturday night, big crowd. Bar crew struggling to serve fast enough. Was told the queue for cocktails was too long, perhaps a simpler drink could be offered while we waited... Fine, we had some G&T's. Ended up ordering cocktails in sets of 5 to avoid waiting (there were quite a few of us). Not really sure what the appeal is, but seems to have a big following.
