Everyone who is anyone needs to visit China town. Be careful of the fakes and your wallet but if you treat the locals and stall holders with respect you should be ok. The hustle and bustle and the food is amazing.

This was our first stop in KL as we arrived in the evening and wanted to see something, it was worth going here first, all the life, people, fun, smell and views have been a great fiest impression. Maybe to shop but not really, or ear but a great place to catch time and get the KL feeling.

Good walk around, similar to other china towns around the world. Very commercial, good fake stuffs shopping, be sure to bargain given the quality of fake items. There's also genuine no bargain souvenir shops with good pricing. If you're hungry there are lots of low end food court type restaurants, then there are some specialty restaurants where I had roast... More

This is an interesting place, we went to Chinatown to experience the Petaling street market and the first thing that strikes you is that hardly any of the stall holders are chinese. The market is hot stuffy, overcrowded and sells the usual fake designer wear and handbags and other tourist tat. Also unlike most markets i had been to the... More

Intersting Chinese Market Set up, Not so Chinese Vendors ... Worth a visit ... You got to browse first cause there are a lot of little shops and vendors .... My suggestion is to go early on in the day ...

Petaling St or Chinatown in Kuala Lumpur has a long history dating back to the late 1800's when the Chinese came to the area to mine tin. There are still family run restaurants running that began in the 1930's, which are great to visit for the history. The shopping is good but not much variety, good bargains can be found... More

If you are looking for cheap imitation handbags, shoes & t-shirts this is the right place to go, otherwise stayed clear.

Chinatown is the most crowded place in KL, you can buy many things (mostly knock-off brands) for cheap prices, you can get fruits or juice, fresh juice, you can eat here as well (although I do not recommend it), get a tattoo, piercing and a lot much more. Across the street is an LRT station (Pasar Seni), Puduraya bus station... More

I've been to several markets in Chinatown all over Asia. This place is just the same as the others. You will find copys of everything here. If you're looking for quality, continue. A lot of restaurants in the area, nice to sit down and observe people.
