About
KL Tower or also known as Menara Kuala Lumpur, the tallest Telecommunication Tower in South East Asia & the 7th tallest in the world, was built to improve the quality of telecommunications and broadcasting transmissions. It has become a significant landmark and symbol that identifies Malaysia as a great tourist destination of the millennium and at the same time a testimony of Malaysia’s capability in the building of high technology facilities. Located atop Bukit Nanas at a breathtaking height of 421 meters, KL Tower was built blending the tower seamlessly with nature. Bukit Nanas is one of the oldest permanent forest reserves in Malaysia. It was gazette in 1906 and was formerly known as Bucket Weld Forest Reserve. Covering an area of approximately 9.37 hectares, Bukit Nanas Forest Reserve is the only remaining virgin tropical rainforest in the heart of the city of Kuala Lumpur. Serving as the green lung of the city, Bukit Nanas Forest Reserve is also home to an abundant of flora and fauna of the Malaysian tropical rainforest. In fact, KL Tower is the only tower in the world located within a forest! KL Tower is in the hospitality and business experience industry. It offers experiences such as viewing, dining, nature, adventure, event and shopping. Current products and services offered at KL Tower include Observation Deck, Revolving Restaurant (Atmosphere 360°), Mega View Banquet Hall for Meeting and Seminars / Private Functions such as Wedding in the Sky, Mini Theater, Amphitheater, F1 Simulator, Blue Coral Aquarium, KL Tower Mini Zoo and MKL Performing Arts Group.

Menara Kuala Lumpur

When it comes to fun filled activities, sky is really the limit. This lean & mean Menara is full of attractions that are crammed within its slim structure underneath and around. There is a 360 degree Atmosphere Restaurant, skydeck glass viewing platform, Mini Zoo, Aquarium, Upside-Down House, 100 years old tree and most of all it's very own personal rainforest that provides the clean filtered air to the area. They also have base jumping and annual race to the top via stairs. Needless to mention that it's the highest viewing point in the city and serves as a observatory too.

Not bad for a tower that was built only to improve telecommunications.

1st and last visit

Nice place but inefficient coordination and management. After lunch at restaurant at level 33, we have to go back to ground level to get our observation tower ticket scan (observation tower at level 32). When we asked restaurant staff why is this so? The answer 'restaurant has limited access to observation tower'. When we told ticketing counter, a male staff replied 'go and ask restaurant'. OMG.. Obviously restaurant-observation not been communicating with each other. Please think of visitors next time. Create visitor tracking system that can ease us, communicate with your team effectively, show professional attitude. I am sure people will come again.

Very Slow Aircond
Jan 2021 • Couples
Now they got promotion! For me it’s really worth it. Too bad that time is raining so we can’t go to outdoor deck. But i think KL Tower management need to aware with the air conditioner. It’s pretty hot up there even outside is raining.

Observation deck, sky deck & sky box
Dec 2020 • Solo
I bought a package that includes observation deck, sky deck and sky box. The 4 rating is for the skybox. It was scary but pretty amazing at the same time. The skybox was all worth the money. I would recommend to just take the sky deck/sky box package. Observation deck had the telescopes but I think it can be skipped.

I just went recently and they were offering a 50% discount for walk ins which is a really good deal compared to buying online (whatever vendor that is).

Also, I took the Lrt to dang wangi station and walked. I don’t recommend walking. Just book grab after you get off the train.

"Visit and Dining In Space"
Feb 2020 • Family
Visit while dining in space. That is what I and my family can describe when visiting Menara Kuala Lumpur. The management process from the beginning of the ticket purchase until you get back down is very organized and professional. You can also collect coins from Kuala Lumpur towers as well as in gaining knowledge because here there is also all the information about skyscrapers around the world. You can also sample Asian and European food at the buffet-style restaurant. Although the taste of the cuisine is quite ordinary, it is important that you can enjoy the beautiful view of Kuala Lumpur from space while eating and chatting with family and friends. Such an experience can only be felt only at Menara Kuala Lumpur.

Great views
We took a grab to the tower as it was quite a walk from our hotel.
We did the Skydeck ticket. You have to wait for your allotted time slot so there's lots of people waiting around. You get pictures taken by the staff and then have about a minute to take your own photos. You can't wear shoes in the box or take your bags inside.

Bad impression
Im so disappointed with trip to KL Towers because, Its not free entrance as they mention on their flyers. I'm came from JB to bring my family to go around the tower, but the staff just said no free entrances at all.And they said only 700 pax for per entrance only. Iam Very dissapointed with them.

I would suggest to go KL tower than going to Petronas. The view is just awesome and the glass bottom picture location is amazing. Go for the best.

Very disappointing
Jul 2020 • Family
Please be aware that this is only free ( July 2020 ) for Locals that hold a Mykad card. Also due to the amount of locals going at the moment foreigners cannot even buy a ticket as they reach their daily allocation very early in the morning. Very disappointing
