The history of this site is fascinating and the views from the mountainside spectacular. But there is little else to see or do. Soak up the history if you are passing.

The experience up there was nice, but different then some other pictures might imply. It's not always sunny in Mahe. In our case our read very foggy, which blocked any kind of view - but the drive itself was spectacular.

Nice view is there, and it does no take long time to go. It was good as well to discover at the entrance the story of this historic place.

Great views especially for photography. Very small car park though. Good high point for good views. Not much else there so a visit would only take 30 minutes or so.

Mission Lodge, aka Venn's Town, is one of the places tourists should visit and learn about the abolition of slavery and how children of former slaves were educated here. In line to become an UNESCO World Heritage Site in the near future.

Hired a taxi plus driver who took us here as part of our day round the island. Kenneth our driver told us about the slave children and the Mission Lodge who lived here. Views spectacular down to the coast.

The trip to the Mission Lodge Lookout is somewhat adventurous by car with narrow and steep roads but not a problem for experienced drivers. Lookout is truly magnificent! The history of the site (mission House for enslaved children that were freed) is interesting but is...More

I did not drive myself and didn't visit all of the island, but of the roads on which I did travel, it didn't look too hard, especially compared to a large city like Dubai. Note that they do drive on the other side of the... More
