Not just a place for walking hand in hand with a special someone given the great view of Manila Bay, but also a place to wine and dine. Lots of great restaurants and places to drink. Even if you don't stay at one of the two big luxury restaurants there, you can still have an enjoyable afternoon or sunset evening. Recommended for your visit to Manila.

Since Manila elected a young, dynamic and country loving Mayor, this city has been transformed from a dumpsite to a vibrant, clean and organized state. The streets are finally well lighted and paved. The parks reopened and maintained. The boulevard as beautiful as ever except for a National project putting dolomite sand in the bay area which is a complete disaster.

Disgusting. Health hazard to anyone a mile of this place. The “bay” is full of rubbish and hap-hazard constructions. Beggars (not judging these people) are found sleeping on the streets and everywhere. The poor animals are abused and neglected to a degree of death on legs. Manila is just the worst city ever & Filipinos just carry on as if this is an ok way to live.

The Manila bay is a nice place to relax in the evening and enjoy the sunset view. I was told that the place has become relatively cleaner than it was. It is a good place to be.

The views are awesome especially at sunset. The water is cleaner but still a lot of miscellaneous trash floating around.. Smell is better now.

It's a really lovely place to go to, a massive shopping mall, an amusement park, plenty of places to eat and drink and best of all the bay stretching out in front of you.
A really lovely place to watch the sunset and it's nice to just see other people as well as you enjoying the whole scenery and theres also a fish spa and aquarium further down.

Driving with my cab driver from the airport to my hotel in Ermita, we passed by Roxas Boulevard that is bounded by Manila Bay.
I felt happy and nostalgic during this ride along the Manila Bay. It is now clean and does not smell bad!
We used to spend time with family and friends in the areas near Manila Bay: eating, talking, watching the sun set, etc.

How far away is this bay from where the cruise ships port. Will there be taxis at the port to take us around town. Can we rent a car to drive ourselves around.
Any suggestions would be helpful.

What you can do is contact a tour guide who pick you up at the port and drive you around where ever you want to go.
This tour guide who is (Dutch)foreigner himself & offer his self as tour guide and driver with his Van. He also tour you around for barhopping etc.
