We absolutely were amazed! All the animals looked so content. All the animals were playing or relaxing. This zoo takes excellent care of their animals and exhibits. We parked in Africa, took the tram to North American in early am when it was cooler. Finished...More

The last time we went to the NC Zoo, it was very hot, crowded and we weren’t familiar with the layout of the park, so we missed seeing the Polar Bears and some of the newest kid-friendly features of the zoo. This time, we went...More

We had to rent a stroller because we were told that we couldn't use ours since it was also a tricycle. Something about the pedals even though ours was blocked off. Traditional strollers and wagons were allowed. Other than that we enjoyed the views and...More

My family and I arrived around 11:30am and immediately upon arrival we had almost no chance of finding a parking spot. There were cars parked in the grass and the zoo clearly had a lot of visitors today. Luckily since we brought our grandparents with...More

Really nice zoo. Came to the zoo on a Thursday. No waiting in line. Was very impressed the amount of space the animals have. Lots of walking, no big deal. Hills were not bad. Didn't get a lot of sun because we had a lot...More

Coming from MD both the Baltimore and especially the DC zoo's are much better. The weather was perfect - and it was fairly crowded with 3 - 4 grades of school children. The park was kind of bare - no flowers or perks around and...More

Very nice zoo. Took us about five hours to visit all of the exhibits. The crowd was overwhelming at times. People with strollers and wagons create a lot of jam ups. Glad we arrived early!
