This Zoo has great exhibits, lots of animals to view from all around North America and Africa. This is a very large zoo that requires a lot of walking. All paths are paved, although some are at inclines. There is a tram that does pickup/drop...More

This is a beautiful, well thought out zoo with animals in large habitats. While that does reduce your chance of seeing certain animals (we did not see rhinos which my daughter was hoping to see) it is definitely in the best interest of the animals...More

So Much Promise. Such a wonderful and beautiful place. So Many Shortcomings Sadly. This is a wonderful natural habitat zoo, the world's largest in fact, yet I fear its senior management perhaps has self-congratulatory tin ears and may perhaps be obsessed with "Master Plans" and...More

Spent an early fall day here. My husband and I, grandparents, decided we needed to get back to our inner child. So happy to see how well maintained the zoo grounds and facilities are kept. The animals are healthy and everything is so clean. Our...More

I would suggest the Hampton Inn. There's another hotel right beside it also. These are the closest.

I stayed at the Hampton Asheboro with my grandkids. They loved the large indoor pool, and breakfast was great. I'd stay there again in a heartbeat.
