Great park with tons of things to do, they have very nice running trails along the sound and a nice Fort to visit.

This fort was used for so many different times and reasons, it oozes with history. The displays and audios are quite touching, for every age. Our youngest was 6 and enjoyed it as much as us grandparents.

I'm not sure. They are doing a beach erosion project with piping sand from the Fort Macon beach a mile or do down towards Atlantic Beach using large pipes. This is just a guess. Best thing to do is call the park
