Absolutely love this place. Great ambience in the tasting room, especially when Jake (hope I got that name right) is the host. Coelho has a wonderful lineup of wines from the obligatory Pinot Noirs to Pinot Gris to a Portuguese blend of red grapes to two types of Port. The two Pinots we tasted were very fruit forward as compared... More

Conveniently located right off U.S. Highway 99E in this small Willamette Valley town, Coelho offers an excellent tasting-room experience. In addition to the usual varietals common to this region, Coelho offers an outstanding red blend of Portuguese grapes that seem certain improve even further with age. Jacob, the tasting room attendant, is an industry expert with wide experience and great... More

We only went to Coelho because our hotel gave us a pass for free tasting. It is a little off the beaten path but worth the drive. When we walked in we were the only ones in the tasting room. It was a Wednesday in June and not much happening I guess. Staff person was very nice and knowledgeable and... More

Beautiful space right off of 99. The idea of a Portuguese inspired winery appealed to us. We liked the rose'and the Portuguese grapes style blend of red wine. Luke was also very informative, helpful, and fun to chat with.

Very nice and open tasting room, two flights for 10 and $15 (4 tastes), with the $15 getting you the bigger Portuguese wines and the ruby port. Fine stop for a visit. Thought the pours would be a little more generous though given we were the only people there..

This winery reminded me of travels in Portugal. The wine varieties are a hidden jewel and I can't wait to go back in the spring for the new Pinot Gris release. Service was slow to greet us but they made up for it in the end.

This is a must do winery in the area. Unlike many of the other wineries Coelho have a red wine tasting as well as a white. Couldn't fault any of the wines. Well produced. Left with many bottles. Favorite winery of the day!

We stopped there before lunch. The ports were amazing, and they had some wines with a Portuguese orientation.

The pinot speaks for itself at Coelho, but this is more than a wine-tasting. Luke was superb as our server, and explained the wines, the process, the differences, all superbly. What a nice gentleman! The view is magnificent. It was a very relaxing and informative tasting for me and my husband, and we will definitely return.

I like Pinot, but it is nice to visit a winery in the Willamette Valley that makes and serves other reds. The owner, Dave, was the perfect host. He took the time to learn our names, answer our dumb questions, and even gave us a personal tour of the winery. The tasting room was inviting and it is right in... More
