About
Waterstone Spa at Ashland Springs Hotel was created with the idea of becoming Southern Oregon’s premier wellness destination. Located next door to the hotel, the spa serves our guests and locals alike as a downtown oasis. Our team of experienced therapists and technicians use natural products that are biodynamically farmed, organic and many a time, local. Just as hotel’s restaurant Larks celebrates food fresh from the farms, the spa utilizes products with ingredients inspired and energized by nature. The same popular herbs showcased in our hotel, and infused into Larks dishes now bring their healing and medicinal properties and benefits to the spa products. Our full service spa offers a variety of treatments to best suit your needs. Our menus include a variety of rejuvenating massages, facials, Ayurvedic treatments, body wraps, soaks and more. Spa’s comfortable surroundings include Duet Suite, Japanese Ofuro soaking tub, steam and sauna, Vichy Shower, and other. Product lines include: Ilike Skincare, Jurlique, Applegate Botanicals, Buddha Blends.

I’ve been staying at Lithia Springs for 20 years, but it’s only been in the last 5 that I’ve begun using the spa services. Waterstone Day Spa has two locations, one of those on property at Lithia. This makes the massage process a perfect complement to the special mineral waters that pipe into Lithia’s deep tubs. My experience working this combo recently was excellent. One part convenience, one part the exceptionally skilled Donica, one of the top bodyworkers I’ve had (and I’ve had MANY.) Plan ahead (limited hours) and make sure to leave time after to languish in the beauty of the gardens, catch a glimpse of the wild turkeys, and literally smell the SO MANY roses.

Beautiful spa, tho there are steep steps to get to second floor area. There may be an elevator but not sure. But the staff is nice and professional. Awesome steam or sauna room. Great treatment options and clean facility.

Well, how should I put this? They don’t have robes for a person my size. Or they said they do but they “had a person like you already today, so.... [nervous frowny face]”
The staff aren’t at fault here, but they should definitely ask the manager/owners to invest in enough robes so that when beautifully fat goddesses like myself come in for a paid service, we can do it. Like humans. And not like our bodies are an affront to the world and a surprise to the spa industry. You know, since 2/3 of Americans are overweight or obese.
I do NOT and will NOT recommend this place until this changes. I will NOT be a patron of a place that says “you are not welcome here” with their actions.

I have had many positive experiences at Waterstone. Since I am local, I have the ability to visit quite often. Both venues are lovely but different. Lithia Springs is closer for me, but I like the spa downtown as well. Having a shower with lovely soaps and shampoo etc. after a wonderful massage sends you out ready to face just about anything. I use the same masseuse so she knows what my problems are and how to handle them. I can't quite believe the review that is negative. I use the venue just about every week and have never had a bad experience..

We chose to go to the Spa site at Lithia Springs resort because the downtown site is on the 2nd floor with no elevator. We signed up for an online special for a detox scrub and massage that didn’t designate it was limited to only the downtown site. We asked for separate rooms.
We got decent services, albeit in the same room. It was in trying to leave that the trouble began. Our bill was $80 higher than anticipated. When we questioned it, the response was, to put it briefly, was disappointing. And it took a full half hour to manage to get to the price we were supposed to pay in the first place. Looking forward to exploring OTHER options.

Our anniversary day started with a duet massage in their couple's spa room. We both had a superb masseuse. One with foot treatment added and the other with hand treatment added. Be sure to allow time in the private hot tub, before your treatment. We get massages regularly, but this was exceptional.

Very relaxing day at the spa. Started with us relaxing in the solarium with warm neck wraps, followed by soaking our feet in baths and side by side reflexology appointments. Great day!

In Ashland for the Shakespeare Festival, I decided to recover from much hiking with my first massage. The facility is on the second floor of an older building, so it has character rather than glitz. I appreciated that the receptionist provided enough information for me to understand where to go and what to do without making me feel like a noob. The deep tissue massage was very relaxing, and of course all the warm towels, neck pillow, etc. were great. Since I was staying at the Ashland Hills hotel, owned by the same folks, I even got a discount. If I return to Ashland, I will try some other services here.
