A temporary exhibit presents portraits of all the Presidents, campaign memorabilia, and other items. Big posters ranking the Presidents and ranking their inaugural addresses detract from the educational value of the exhibit. Why not let the viewer draw their conclusions about the Presidents. Another exhibit highlights the history of Lehigh County. And, a number of electric train displays underscore the... More

My husband and I checked this place out once, and joined as a member that same day. Interesting programs, very friendly staff, great place for kids to have fun and learn. Would recommend for every age.

This museum is a nice small museum, but its real charm is the wonderful programs it puts on. Authors and experts on all sorts of topics give talks. And when I was the scholastic team coach in an inner city high school, the head of the museum was nice enough to let me bring my students to any program free... More

Very good permanent display of Lehigh Valley area history. Also excellent one day programs of speakers or presentations on local events or personalities.

We only gave ourselves an hour in our schedule to see the museum - that was a huge mistake. It has a TON of great history, artifacts, and information. I especially loved all the industrial history of the area, as well as the information on natural resources in the region. Right now there's also a fun exhibit on electric power... More

We visited this museum to view the exhibit of President John Kennedy. That exhibit was wonderful...SO much to see......and all professionally displayed. You'd have thought that we were in a fine museum in Philly or New York City! This exhibit was just a small part of what was on display here, though. We spent over two hours trying to take... More

What an amazing, all-inclusive museum about all-things Lehigh Valley! Visited Allentown for the first time in 20+ years and this was a one-stop trip down memory lane. From photographs to forgotten relics, from the special Lincoln exhibit to the giant book sale, this was a highlight of my trip. The staff is incredibly welcoming, friendly and accommodating. The museum is... More

Had not been to this museum in a number of years, but became a member after visiting one of their numerous historic sites. They will have an upcoming exhibit on President John Kennedy starting the beginng of October, 2015. The second floor covers much history, including Lincoln, the American Revolution, Lehigh Valley history and a county hall of fame. There... More
