If you are a history buff, you will enjoy this museum. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. I hate that I don't remember his name, but a gentleman who does civil war reenactments was there and he is so knowledgably and wonderful story teller!...More

Thank you so much for stopping in! We are so glad you enjoyed it, and we will certainly pass along your thoughts to our Civil War general, Wade Hampton! (Otherwise known as Eddie Rodgers.) Hope you visit us again soon!

This is a wonderful little museum that encapsulates the wonderful history of the "Winter Colony in Aiken". Some really interesting exhibits. The grounds are also worth a visit. However there seems to be no rhyme or reason here because there are some wonderful areas and...More

Great museum enjoyed it very much. Took a small homeschool group and the kids loved the little play area upstairs. Will definitely be back.

The Aiken county historical museum is nicely done. Lots of local history. The docents are very friendly and helpful. The circus model is very large and detailed. The gardens are also nice.

Aiken has a wonderful history and it is all right there for the learning if you are so inclined. Now, I must admit to being a bit biased as there are many relics that have been donated by my family but even without that fact,...More
