Palmetto Distillery is a labor of love for Trey and Bryan Boggs. The two brothers and entrepreneurs from Anderson, SC are dedicated business men, southern to the bone and most importantly spirit connoisseurs. The brothers drew inspiration from their own heritage and that of South Carolina to create Palmetto Distillery. Which produces South Carolina's First Legal Moonshine and Palmetto Whiskey, South Carolina's Most Awarded Craft Whiskey. Our goal is to continue to revolutionize the spirit industry. Free distillery tours and moonshine tastings available daily.

Perfect place for visitors

Educational plus a fun place to take visitors from out of town. Good tourist attraction, too. A good experience and fun product line.

Interesting tour of the making of moonshine. Products for sale as well as a taste test of some of the products.

I walked in expecting to just pick out some Moonshine from their store, but as I walked in I was welcomed by a man that asked if I had ever been there before, then proceeded to take me on a tour to show what makes them different from other distilleries. And they even had a little bar to sample some... More

Great place to visit if you're interested moonshine. Good explanation of how moonshine is made, along with recipes for making your own exotic drinks. Has a great general store that markets their products. It's a very interesting part of the cultural history in the south, and well worth the stop. Take a bottle home with you

We stopped by here to kill some time after reading about their selection of moonshine and whiskey products online. It was a fun, entertaining, nicely appointed store. It's not easy to find although my Google Maps GPS got us to the side of the building that gives directions on where to park and enter the building. The ZZ Top bearded... More

Like stories? Like moonshine? Like interesting characters? Like history? If you answered yes to any of the above, you have to go to the Palmetto Distillery in Anderson. We have stopped at the Zoo on the Roof site between Pendleton and Anderson a number of times. Due to some changes in the sale of their moonshine pickles (AWE-SOOOME!) we had... More

I have been perusing this facility for a few years, the best moonshine you will find and the best staff to top it off! You can sample all of the shines before purchasing to make sure it is to your liking. Always a warm welcome and fun bunch.

Love Palmetto Moonshine - they have more to offer than just moonshine. They have candles, jewelry, jellies/jams, BBQ sauces, and goats on the roof!!!

I've had the opportunity to taste moonshine in Charleston, Gatlinburg and here and this place was the least impressive. For the price, it's not worth it. You are better off going to a liquor store and picking out modestly priced liquor. The tasting room was unremarkable. The other distilleries were much more forthcoming about their distillation process, different drink recipes,... More
