Driving from Nevada to Tennessee on I-40 Route 66 . Stopped off at some Route 66 diners and hotels on our way. It's a historical site. Glad we did it.

We thought by going there early, we would miss the rush.. Should have realised when we got a park really easy, that something was up? I wish someone had let us know that the shops don't really open until lunchtime, that way we could have...More

Really bummed that there was absolutely nothing to see or shop. Everything closed. But does look like the city is doing a lot of construction, so maybe that will help bring the industry back.

Nothing but antiques, bars, and tattoo shops. Everything had bars on the windows. No nostalgia or history

Honestly, I expected more for something called a "historic" district of a cultural landmark like Route 66. If you are an antiquer this is probably a mecca. Otherwise, there isn't much here but a quick photo op.

This highway is really very scenic even though portions of it are very flat and uninteresting. It is a very historic drive.
