This weekend was the opening for their 2016 Christmas lights display. It was just beautiful, even better than last year. We started with a free cup of hot chocolate then took a relaxing stroll through the garden. It is an easy walk both outside and in the building. There are different types of displays/lights. So you need to visit each... More

This is a place of beauty and remembrance of several who thought beauty is important in a strong cowboy culture. It's small, but it's nice place to admire nature and gather one's thoughts.

We stopped here during our quickie tour of Amarillo. The horticultualists were recovering from a recent hailstorm that did quite a bit of damage, but despite that it was a very pleasant surprise. It's small and little in comparison to places like the Dallas Arboretum, but regardless they have a large selection of regional flora arranged in very pleasant form.... More

Went during the holidays when the grounds are lit up and it's open evenings. It was very nice, with wheelchair accessibility

The Amarillo Botanical Gardens are a great place to go most times of the year. They have lots of different types of plants and gardens. You can tell that someone or many someones really do work hard there. In the summer, they have different types of events including live music. And the prices are very very reasonable.

Not in a great part of town. Didn't feel safe after dark. BUT very beautiful. The playground is handicap accessible.

We used the sat nav to find this place and it struggled so we were frazzled when we arrived. There was no one in the ticket booth and we were about to leave when someone came to take the money. It is a really small garden but it is worth a visit and there are some very pretty flowers and... More

Gorgeous and peaceful with many plants with descriptions you likely have never heard of. Especially, you must go through the Tropical Building, it is a wonder.

The owner of the gardens is incredibly nice and funny; you can really tell she cares about the gardens (which are absolutely beautiful). I definitely recommend visiting Ricky the tropical duck in the indoor area. He is a beautiful duck. I had such a great time here.
