This was an interesting point of interest. The legs (columns) of the structure were filles with books and historic items to let people of the future see what it was like to live in 1968. It is basically a huge multi compartment Time Capsule.

A nice stop at Amarillo, no entrance fee. In front of Harrington science center. The monumet has moved here from original place.
