Austin takes park management seriously. This is another gem of a city park with well maintained trials and Barton Springs. Must do when visiting Austin, rivals any city park I have been to. Easy to use biking/walking trails.

Few cities with rivers running through them bother making provision for cycle tracks by the waterside but this does. There's also a fabulous fresh water damned area to swim in (we've not braved it yet) plus good bike hire at Barton Springs bike hire. What's...More

We rented a canoe for one hour, which only cost $15 and it was awesome! So many turtles and big fish! Nice view of the city too! You can rent canoes, kayaks, and SUPs. Highly recommend coming here!

We visited the park and learned about Mr. Zilker. He was quite the guy. Did a lot for the city of Austin. It's nice to be in the city and feel like you're in the country. You can accomplish that at Zilker Park. You can...More

One of my favorite parks! There are great walking trails, run groups, and different activities or just come to watch the sunset.

We drove from Mexico and my son from Nacogdoches, TX, where we took my 40-month old grandson. What a great park. He loved the playground, the train, and the nature center. Well laid out and ample parking.

Not to miss. There are bike paths everywhere!! And if the terrain feels challenging check out the electric bike rentals. Super worth it. I knew about the bars and the music, but outdoor life in Austin just made me fall in love with this town....More

This is only a small part ID very large park. There is a little climbing involved and it is Rocky someone needs to be careful. There is a Koyie pond. This area is very serene and pretty. We also saw water lilies

I have been in Zilker Park a number of times after dark and have seen no reason to be concerned, however its a very large park near a big city, consequently I would advise all due caution
