This is a great place for a hike, fabulous scenery and a must see when in Austin. Also home of ACL Fest.

lots to see and do whether its cycling, canoeing or walking. Lots of squirrels, fish and turtles to see along the way. Plenty of parking but not much shade for cars so very warm car to come back to. Places to BBQ and toilets available....More

We went there to see the Japanese garden that was built by one 70 year old man as a gift to the city of Austin. It was beautiful and very peaceful.

88 degrees and sunny. This is a wonderful park for a stroll, bike ride, kayaking, swimming, or just plain people watching. There was ample free parking and no fee for admission to this park. Animals are welcome too. For youngsters ages 2-5 there's a playground...More

The park has very large areas for kite flying, natural rock formations for climbing, sand volleyball, disc golf, swimming, plenty of large pecan shade trees and access points via car/bike and many picnic tables. The coolest feature is that it is adjacent to the Town...More

Park was great during ACL. Really appreciate the effort the locals put into keeping it clean during a music festival. Nice big urban park.

Such a great venue for ACL. Walking from town is little sketchy since you have to walk on the bike paths under I-35, but once you are there we felt safe and had an absolute blast. They really should push the no smoking for ACL.

I have been in Zilker Park a number of times after dark and have seen no reason to be concerned, however its a very large park near a big city, consequently I would advise all due caution
