I love going to the Paramount Theatre. Its history is amazing (Houdini shot a gun & there is a bullet hole in the ceiling)! The acoustics are great, and there are only a few "blocked view" seats in the house. We miss the regular shows that have now migrated to the Long Center....

This iconic venue is one of the best live music theatres that I have had the pleasure to experience. The sound for Jerry Jeff Walker was just right. Not too loud & acoustics were right on.The asthetics have been well preserved , giving the interior an old historic feel.Like stepping back in time 100 years. On a recent road trip to the Capitol... We went to this place to see Jerry Jeff Walker. I was a highly enjoyable evening. We had arguably the worst seats in the house, but they were just fine. The acoustics were good, the view was unimpeded, and the seats were comfortable. The beverages were high quality and the workers were very professional and helpful. This is a great... More

SXSW world premiere of 'Song to Song' and I have been inside this place for years. Waiting in line for 2 hours a block away and once the line started to move to fill the theater you are quickly escorted in bypassing the red carpet and inside a very historic theater. Built over a hundred years ago back when only... More

We've been to 6 or 7 premier opening films at the Paramount during SXSW film week over the past three years. Last year we saw the Don Cheedle Miles Davis movie premier with Don making an appearance . This year we saw "Free Fire" premier - a violence comedy of sorts The Paramount is a lovely, well kept older and... More

This type of theatre is n to longer common, times change. It makes me grateful that I grew up with these theatres as the best way to catch a production, special event or movie. I went to the Paramount for a meeting prior to some other meetings at the Capitol. Great choice! Acoustics were great, seats comfortable and a short... More

The seats are very close at this old theater, but the sound quality was wonderful and there didn't seem to be a bad seat in the house. Our balcony experience was awesome and less crowded than the main level, both for the bathroom and the bar. The staff was very friendly and polite and we had a wonderful time at... More

Nice clean theatre. Seats were comfortable and plenty of leg room in the second row. One bathroom does NOT cut it.

Wife & I have been medium level financial supporters ($300-$400/yr per yr) + buying the show packages for a decade. Have always loved the venue and the shows. But the show "experience" has become so mediocre the last couple yrs we just cancelled our tkts for Spring and will probably just quit supporting the Theatre. Show attendees spend more time... More
