Went on my morning run here while visiting Austin,TX. Very amazing run with the nature, skyline, and statues! Little did I know that this is actually in the top ten of best runs in the United States! Definetely recommend this trail

Great walking path, fun to watch dogs running. Lots of bikers and runners. Good time to be had. Large open fields and right in the river. Very relaxing.

Yes there is parking all along Lakeshore Dr which gives you immediate access to the trail.

The veloway is a dedicated path just for that: Attraction_Review-g30196-d6157435-Reviews-The_Veloway-Austin_Texas.html Only bikers, rollerskaters, and rollerbladers allowed. It's around 3 miles and paved.
