This is a real gem for Austin locals and visitors alike. The trail extends around Ladybird (previously known as Town) lake for miles. I am a regular visitor throughout the year - not living downtown, I prefer to park for free under the Mopac bridge on Stratford Drive, on the most western part of the trail then it's a decision... I recently moved downtown. This is my daily walking path. There are so many options to go along Lady Bird Lake. With the abundance of people walking, running and biking you will feel safe. There are several places along the trail to rent kayaks and SUP. Great people watching. Enjoy!

The walking and biking trails along North and South Lady Bird Lake are fabulous and extend for miles. There is always something to see on the water and plenty of people watching. There is also a dog park where they can roam free and jump into the water and retrieve that ball. Great place to put your New Year's resolutions... More

I really wish that I would have spent more time on this trail. I only got to see about 3 or 4 miles of it, but I love how it mostly follows the river and is very pretty. There are a few times when it gets close to the road, but otherwise it stays next to the river. It also... More

It is always nice to take the trail near the lake, well it is not really a lake but a river. It is a very nice walk. I used to take my dog with me.

It's a lake enuf said. Nothing special of note but then again not sure what I was suppose to see. Drove around to the other side but again the same. I can at least say I was there

I've lived in Austin nearly 40 years and the Ladybird Lake Hike and Bike Trail is treasured by so many of us. Situated basically in the middle of Austin it is a trail used by people of all ages and abilities and provides you a nature walk/run/bike along the Colorado River.

Nice trail but very busy with walkers, runners and bikers. Love that there are mini rest areas to pull to the sides and touch the water. The view of the city is great and it's links to both down town and Zilker park makes it a great attraction.

The trail is along the water and allows you some great view of the city. It can be crowded with pedestrians and bikes during nice weather, but still a must-do if you haven't been on the trail before. You can also rent canoes and boats along the trail.
