It's nice to walk down Congress on a nice day seeing all the beautiful shops etc. Worth it if you have some time to spend and explore Austin.

This part of Congress Avenue is the more professional office building side. We enjoyed a beautiful art gallery and a nice bridge with pretty views. We enjoyed it but liked South Congress Avenue better. This street is a little more quiet and subdued.

We enjoyed a lovely walk downtown. We stepped into the Driskill and had lunch at a coffee shop. The kids enjoyed the walk too.

Congress Avenue and the surrounding area is the heart of Austin. Always lots going on and plenty of entertainment. Don't forget to venture over to 6th St for live music and the bar scene.

In spite of many recent changes to the skyline, the walk down Congress retains its old charm, even if it is no longer dominated by the Capital. Look at the older architecture and enjoy the many restorations that have been done. Encourage Austin to preserve...More
