My girlfriends and I met in Austin for a fun getaway weekend. This was the best place we visited for live music all weekend. We are old (in our late 40’s) and we really enjoyed the band playing covers of the 70’s and 80’s on a Friday night. The outdoor patio is fun and drinks are fairly inexpensive. Vert friendly... More

If you want to go to one of the best places in town for an after party, this place starts hopping after 9:30 and is perfect to hang out, grab a drink and hear great music. Beers are comparable in price to other places. We paid about $4.00 per beer for domestic bottle beer. If you're ever lucky enough to... More

Go on Wednesday and enjoy the quirky performance of the Spazmatics! Pretend nerds with protective head gear covering 80's girl bands. Surprisingly entertaining!

We are from Bucks County, Pa. Not many lively ( or live) music venues here. We went to Austin for the live music. We went on Wednesday night with relatives from San Antonio on their recommendation. Awesome! Saw the Spazmatics . . . Great!!!!!!!!

Considering the Spazmatics are a production product (they have Spazmatic bands in many regions) They still kick out great 80's & 90's hits. Most of the crowd were in their late 20's to 50's. Just enjoying the drinks and good music. Only wish the upstairs wasn't rented to a private party that night. But, they need more fans (the type... More

While in Austin, my husband and I were looking for a low-key, outdoor place with quality music. This place was it! We went 2 nights in a row we loved it so much. It is located in a little alley courtyard and set up with round tables, very cute setting. First night was a great jazz band, second night was... More

Recently held a company function at this establishment. The only "downside" was that they did not plan enough wait staff to handle the number of people - particularly the bar waitress. However, everyone got around that by going to the bar themselves for their drinks (and the bar staff itself was adequate). Food was "average" - not exceptional but not... More

If you have a Wed night free in Austin and like 80's music, you won't want to miss seeing the Spazmatics, an 80's cover band a la Revenge of the Nerds at Cedar St. Courtyard. Cedar St. offers a nice bar with great selection of libations, and is a nicer atmosphere than most of the 6th St area bars.

I loved this venue- great place to enjoy love music, and on a weeknight was pretty chill. But the band their website said was playing wasn't actually who played. And when my friend ordered a margarita it was so bad we had to send it back. Service was mediocre at best.
