There are so many statues or monuments around at the complex of the capitol. The mexican with the longhorn, Heroes of Alamo, the volunteer Fireman, War monument and some others. These monuments are confederate soldier monuments. You can read the texts on each pedestal

A beautiful part of history! Really well done! Usually some kids around being told about it. Not many kids with pants half-way down their legs, but those that are interested in history. Cool

This monument represents a war and is one of many monuments on the Capitol grounds. It is well made and worth a stop to see while at the Capitol.

Not particularly impressive as a monument, it does inform about the history of Texas and the Civil War. It's easy to include this with any visit to the Capital grounds.
