Fun late night for dessert and drinks. There is often music in the upstairs area and sometimes people dance. A great mixed group of locals and tourists.

Dropped in for a beer break to get some shade from the searing sun. Just stunning old world splendour and not really very expensive for a drink compared to the rest of trendy 6th Street.

I have stayed here in past but this time my husband and I just visited the bar and explored the building. It is beautiful and full of history. The bar is extraordinary and fun. Be sure to ask about the ghosts!!!

Just had drinks in the bar. Did not stay there, but, the lobby is so ornate. Just have to stop and see.

I'ved never spent the night here but have stopped in for coffee and desserts when in the downtown area of Austin. Quite pricey but sure is good.

Have the original 1836 building hotel rooms been recently renovated? Or is the 1920 tower more recently renovated? Thank you.
