A visit to these beautifully tended gardens is a must while in Austin. Plenty there for adults or children, with stepping stones, giant coy carp, dinosaur garden, and much more. A great place to spend a couple of hours.

This is one of my favorite nature places to visit. There is a wealth of plants and foliage and the beauty is amazing. Take a stroll. You will love it. I have set up an ease and painted here.

we really enjoyed the beautiful flowers and plants. Recommend to locals and turistas! Be sure and walk all the paths, then take a walk out side and enjoy the lawns, the bridges and the other areas closeby where you can have lunch or dinner

Very nice gardens, especially the Japanese gardens and ponds. The butterfly gardens were teaming with butterflies and hummingbirds. Definitely worth a few hours of your time.

Decided to visit gardens last minute. It was a lovely day and enjoyed walking the grounds. Especially liked the Japanese and Butterfly gardens. Nice place to bring lunch and enjoy the views. Admission was only $2.

Hidden treasure in Austin. Loved the butterfly gardens, Japanese gardens, koi pond, rose garden, etc. So peaceful! Highly recommend!

Was wonderfully surprised at the well kept beauty in the gardens. Stayed for several hours - would surely return. Great for an afternoon of bit of walking exercise in some truly beautiful surroundings. They do a great job of keeping grounds maintained. Loved it!

We had a great time! Go when the weather is nice because it's a lot of walking and sunny areas. Definitely check out the Japanese and prehistoric gardens. They were my favorites. Time of year we went made the butterfly and rose garden underwhelming. I'll...More

While there are no picnic tables, I doubt that anyone on staff will tell you to get out if they see you eating. Definitely no fires.

I wish there were but at this time there is no cafe or restaurant. There are many restaurants down the street toward Lamar Boulevard.
