This church is at the tail end of a total renovation. We have been attending Mass here periodically, when we visit our children, for the past 9 yrs. The stained glass windows are spectacular. I especially love the one above the altar depicting Mary's ascension. We attend the Latin Mass when we are in town. We find the 3:30PM time... More

I had parked on 10th Street to visit the Capitol. As I walked my eye was taken by the great architecture of this building. On my way back to the car, I stopped and realised it was a Catholic Church, so likely to be open for visitors. After snapping a few shots of the outside, I tried the main door,... More

While visiting Austin, I hadn't a car, so I walked to Mass from our hotel, a quick 7 blocks, and it was worth it. Beautiful architecture and colors. Good A/C for this 95 degree weather, too. Mass was very traditional and not at all what we are used to back home, but beautiful nonetheless.

It's a beautiful cathedral that is almost fully restored. Weekday mass are held in Bishops Hall while they renovate during the week. Weekend masses are in the main church.

When ever I'm away from home I like to stop into a local Catholic Church to attend mass even if my stay doesn't include a Sunday. I went to a Tuesday mass. This church is breathtakingly beautiful. The photos do not do it justice. Finding the correct parking garage and Parking in the garage and walking to the church was... More

We celebrated mass on a Sunday vigil. It was a lovely place and the homily was quite good. The parish was very friendly and offered me places to sit while waiting for reconciliation.

We went to the Latin service, which was very traditional. Most of the women cover their hair. Everything except the homily was in Latin. The parish is beautiful, and is at least worth a visit to see the architecture.
