Going to Esther's has become our favorite way to welcome the new year. Live action on 6th street thru the picture windows right behind the stage always adds to the fun. Their set pieces--Patsy Cline, the 5 flags of Texas, Sam I Am, always earn...More

Absolutely priceless. Jaw hurt from laughing so hard. Non stop, fast moving entertainment. Great singers and performers. Excellent magician, friendly folks, all good! Bargain MUST DO first stop on 6th Street as far as I am concerned!

We were waitlisted for the show so we got in at the last minute. How lucky we were! The skits were very funny and reflected very recent news, poking fun at a lot of political figures. The magician was great too!

Esther's Follies is just terrific. There humor is always up to date. We have seen them twice this year, and the shows were different. The magician is also very good - funny and interesting magic.

We were told by several different people that Esther's Follies was a must-see. Couldn't agree more! We laughed a lot, and enjoyed the current events focus of the show. Will definitely stop in again next time we're in Austin.

I was worried it was going to be dated and boring as I was dragged to it by my family. I was laughing the entire time and was pleasantly surprised that all of the skits and humor was current. I'd recommend this to anyone and...More

This clever and entertaining show gave us our introduction to Austin, our first night there. Progressive, timely, and a bit raunchy. We laughed so hard! Perfect location to walk around downtown before and after the show (allow time to find parking). Definitely worth paying a...More

My wife and I attended for our anniversary visit to Austin. We enjoyed the irreverent and often baudy look at politics and current events in a relatively small venue. Some local, more Texas, even more national humor. Almost as entertaining as the show is to...More

We had a great time at this show. A great mix of singing, dancing, comedic skits, and magic--the Follies provide non-stop entertainment and surprises. Go if you can get a ticket!

The shows on a weekend are the same. However, the script is modified every week to cover different current events. Where I see the most consistency is with the magic act. But, these are always good and always enjoyed... More

It was largely a liberal crowd and liberal-oriented humor, but far less biting than a lot of what you might see on late-night television. If you ever find this sort of humor funny I expect you will enjoy the show.
