The Sugar Shack makes their own maple syrup for a great price, lots of other gift ideas there as well. A definite must stop!

Had read other traveler forums, so knew it might be a bit "hokey," however we totally enjoyed our brief visit. A small Norman Rockwell museum occupies half of the Shack, with souvenirs, food, maple syrup/products overflowing the other half. Their prices are competitive--even lower than other stores we visited, and they ship. Had a nice selection of cheeses, meats, syrups... More

We went to the Sugar Shack specifically to see the Norman Rockwell exhibit, but we ended up buying lots of real maple syrup and great maple walnut fudge. The Sugar Shack is a country store, but also put together a really interesting Norman Rockwell display of his Saturday Evening Post paintings, along with a Norman Rockwell short film in the... More

Before we entered, we were greeted by a cheery, welcoming young lady ready to assist in our meeting our sweet tooth needs! In fact, all the staff we encountered were just as cheery and helpful! We bought several 'gifts' to take back home! They also highly recommended taking the quick drive over to the Norman Rockwell House.

What a fun place and the syrup was absolutely delicious. Nice to be able to sample and the staff had great personalities which made it fun to buy. BTW, syrup is made there...great to buy local.

Great people working in the store. Very helpful and super fun. Great samples and resonable price compared to a lot of gift shops. Movie to show sugaring process for maple syrup.

We stopped here for two reasons - I really wanted to see their information about Norman Rockwell plus to buy their maple syrup. They have a great deal of information about Norman Rockwell starting with a 15 minute video about his life and then continuing with a huge number of Norman Rockwell drawings, prints, cards, and other information about his...
