I managed to go 26 years without seeing a play, and I'm glad my first time was at Barter Theatre. Everything, from the actors/actresses skills, the costumes and makeup, and the set, was just absolutely wonderful. These talented people made Shakespeare's Midsummer's Night Dream almost...More

In tonight’s performance of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”, the role of Bottom was portrayed with a larger than life performance. The actor showed total commitment to his role including an impromptu loud blast of flatlulence at a critical moment in the second act that engendered...More

Saw Mama Mia on closing night! The cast was energetic and the performance was well done. Love the ole style charm of the theater with the velvet wallpaper! Would like to see new seats, more comfortable and not so tightly packed! But all in all...More

This setting is really good. Very professional presentation. The theater is historic and somewhat intimate. I suspect most of their presentations are done well. The legroom is typical for any theater like this. All the staff was friendly and helpful.

Went with my husband to see Mama Mia. There is ample parking in a lot across the street, or along the street as well. You feel like you're stepping back in time when you get inside. The acting was superb! A very enjoyable experience.
