Cardinal Point is ideally situated within view of the Rockfish Gap, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and Skyline Drive in Nelson County, Virginia. We take great pride in creating high quality, delicious, and food-friendly wines. But we take the most pleasure in creating wines that showcase our specific terroir, our winemaker's unique creativity, and put a smile on our customer's faces.

Stopped at Cardinal as the last of a few wineries from the weekend. We were a bit disappointed. Though the live band was fun, seating wasn't ample. The wines were not a favorite amongst the crowd of ladies I was with. Lastly, the tasting room...More

We've been here a few times and the wine never disappoints. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. This was our first visit when they had live music on the deck- and it was a wonderful way to spend the afternoon!

Small but quaint tasting room with a knowledgeable server. Interesting wines you likely will not see elsewhere including one that is made with hops. Wines were good but found I liked some other wines in the area more than the ones offered here but worth...More

If you are looking for a venue with wonderful views this is not the place. They have good wines with knowledgeable employees this is for you. Even if you only have a short time it is worth it to stop.

The wines here are decent, but your tasting will come at a cost. The service is awful. Slow and inconsiderate. The staff is more concerned about talking to each other and cleaning up for closing instead of attending to customers. Will not return.

We were referred here by a server at another Winery, so we had high hopes. We were let down. The wines are not even marginal. Most are sweeter than we like and the most have some funky barreling processes that did not suit our palates....More

Our server was so knowledgable on the wines. Guided us on what notes she gets and seemed to really enjoy what she was doing. They offer dry wines and a semi sweet Chardonnay. There's one they won't let you sample, it's $30 a bottle- but...More

We spent a couple hours here on a Friday afternoon to kick off a birthday celebration. They have a great outdoor space and we loved the Cabernet Franc & Petit Verdot - delish!!

After stopping at two of the "trendy" wineries in the area, we stopped here. Less crowded and the bartenders doing the wine tasting actually knew their stuff! We ended up staying for a couple of glasses and took three bottles home. Great place!

The Farm house at the top of the hill makes for a beautiful scenery. Even in the rain looking at the hills and vineyard was so majestic. Great place for a small wedding, family reunion, or just a big group of friends. The winery has...More
