This is a great venue for intimate concerts. We've seen blues, folk, and classic rock artists at Birchmere. The music usually starts on time and most seats are unobstructed. There is no reserved seating, so you need to arrive before 5 pm to get your...More

Having booked a trip to DC, my wife and I knew we needed some night time entertainment. We had seats to a play, but wanted a concert as well. When I found out that Jesse Cook was going to be at the Birchmere, we purchased...More

Have been to the Birchmere three times now. Love the venue. Saw Jesse Cook this past week. He is awesome! Seating is not reserved, but if you know the process, it is doable; we have always had great seats. Five stars for the venue only;...More

Yes! The reason you need to go early is to stand in line to receive a number to enter the concert hall. Seating is first come, first serve at the Birchmere. If you look at your tickets, you will see seating is reflected as... More

I agree that I have not seen them record. It is worth a phone call to the Birchmere, though. Or even send an email to Darryl's Place in NY to see if it was recorded?
