I love taking my children to Great Waves and it's always the highlight of our August. Every experience is decent at best but this time I was downright disgusted at the customer service at the restaurant. I witnessed two people recive their food before an...More

A conveniently located urban park in Alexandria, VA offers lots of shady, streamside trails for running and biking. Cameron Run Park adjoins a series of streamside parkways, including Holmes Run and connects to other major designated bikeways. Not a lot of handy or convenient parking;...More

I hate to even give this place one star. We went here to cool off during our out of state vacation. According to their site they open at 11. When we arrived, they had signs posted saying they were opening 2 hrs late. They should've...More

Cameron Run has a great wave pool. The batting cages are fun, too, for blowing off steam! This park is a hometown fav of mine. My kids even worked there while in HS. It's busy, and gets really crowded on summer holiday weekends. It can...More

I hate pools, simply because they are boring. But the Great Waves pool is the exception...lots of fun floating in the waves on an tube or simply treading water. A tip: while there are a lot of lounge chairs for sunbathing, get there before Noon...More

Had a blast here. Didn't realize that the park was as big as it is. It's more than a water park. There's a lot of activities on site. We went on a Wednesday, and not crowded at all. It's full price before 4. We were...More

If I remember correctly it was $15. Kids 2 and under are free. Honestly, it's not worth it.

Added note: check out Lee District Recreation Center for pool access. It would be a bit cheaper...$12.50/daily for pool, fitness ctr, gymnasium, etc.
